General Terms & Conditions

You must bring your driving licence with you to the first lesson.



You must also satisfy me that you can read a car number plate at a distance of 20.5 metres ( 67 feet) in order to undertake lessons. Payment is to be made at the start of each lesson in cash or prepaid by bank transfer


Please note 48 hours notice is to be given to prevent loss of lesson fee unless you are genuinely ill or there is a a genuine emergency ( A maximum of TWO occasions are allowed)
After this full lesson fee will be charged for late cancellations

(I am self employed so please understand that if you do not take the lesson I do not get paid)



Should I arrive for a scheduled lesson and you are seemingly not at home or at the agreed pick up point, I shall wait for 10 minutes and try to contact you If you arrive after my departure the whole lesson fee will still be due even if you contact me to have the remaining lesson time only.


NB If any outstanding fees are not paid a county court summons may be issued.



It Is important to all parties that acceptable standards of hygiene are kept.


I reserve the right to terminate any lesson in the interests of health and safety or if I believe you have consumed more than the legal limit of alcohol .



I will not allow you to use my car for your driving test if I deem you not to be at test standard.



I will not be held responsible for test cancellations by the DVSA.





I reserve the right to refuse further lessons if compatibility between myself and the pupil is an issue. In this rare instance any money paid in advance for lessons that have NOT YET BEEN TAKEN will be refunded.



The discounted block booking for 10 hours , refers only to the first 10 hours not every 10 hours unless agreed otherwise



Block booking discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer

Test day lesson is charged as a 2 hour lesson
Please note the £62 test fee fee goes directly to the DVSA
I receive no payment from the DVSA



New driver means a student who has had none or 1 or 2 previous lessons. Not a student switching instructors


Taster lesson price is for new drivers only and is only for the first lesson. After first lesson all the prices will be the current hourly price stated on the website.


After the six months have passed the prepaid lessons will be deemed as expired and no refund of outstanding lessons will be paid.



Price agreed for hourly lessons at the start of your course will not change for the length of your course. Unless you decide to stop lessons and resume at a later date.

Gift cards and vouchers are only valid if issued by Andy Woodgate driver Training LTD and proof of purchase from AWDT LTD is provided
No other vouchers or gift will be accepted for payment

Gift cards and prepaid block bookings must be used within 6 months of purchase.


Any refunds on Gift cards and block bookings are at the discretion of AWDT Ltd
If a prepaid block booking is not completed by the student and a refund issued all lessons already taken will be charged at the current full hourly rate not the prepaid rate and any remaining balance paid



We take the theft of our original work very seriously and would draw to your attention that it is protected under UK copyright law. Please note we always sue for compensation if any part of our website,or design or whether text or images, are found being used without prior authorisation in writing.
